Anorexia is a serious and life threatening disease that, while very often having physical manifestations and impacts, is defined by disordered thought and behavior patterns.

It’s not a body type nor is it a word to be used in describing physical appearance.

No matter how concerned you are, how supportive you’re trying to be of “real” bodies with “curves,” or how hushed your tones- no matter if you are fat or thin or a fucking plus size “body positive” publication attempting to advocate for size diversity on the runway: any time you use anorexia as a description of anything other than a serious and life threatening disease, you are being a complete fucking asshole and WHOLLY in the wrong.

Any potential point you could be making, be it about your concern for a friend or commentary on the state of female body image, is negated because you are a sizeist, shaming fuck.
