Ahh! You’re so sweet. Pun not intended but not particularly unwelcome!
I am usually totally happy to give away all of my recipes, but this one is not mine to give! I baked for a commitment ceremony this weekend, and this recipe was one of their grandmother’s, who passed away earlier this year, treasured secrets. I got it as part of my compensation for the gig and don’t feel comfortable broadcasting it.
I will say; the frosting is 3 sticks of butter, 1 cup of cocoa powder, 4 cups of powdered sugar, 1 cup of heavy cream, some vanilla, an entire teaspoon of salt (I know!) and like an entire cup of ovaltine, and was an adaptation from a Joy the Baker recipe. And the cake is really similar to an old recipe for Red Velvet cake (so, shortening), but with bananas and more cocoa, if you’re up for making your own adaptation.
Hope that helps! Thanks for the incredibly kind words, and I’m so glad you liked the snacks!!
